FROM WHICH MINDSET ARE YOU COMING FROM

Philippians 2:5 - Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus

“What church you go to?” Is usually the question most people ask each other to strike up a conversation or to proceed to get to be more personal. Though the bible talks about the different churches and their different ministries, one thing is clear souls congregate or rather are gathered and kept in a mindset.

The bible commands us to abide or dwell in the mindset of Christ. We should therefore have discernment to know from which mindset every soul we get to speak to is coming from.

When Simon “the magician” finished speaking to Peter. Peter said to him in Acts 8:35 “I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity”. To be in the gall of bitterness is to be in the mind of Satan and to be in the bond of iniquity is to be part of all those souls that are willingly led captive by the spirit of this age.

The mind of Christ is a wellspring of living water. The mind of Satan is a gall of bitterness or rather a container of acidic and toxic liquids. An acid may look just like water but once it interacts with an object you can tell them apart. Living water refreshes, restores, invigorates and cleanses an acid rusts, corrupts, weakens and consumes.

Christ lives to promote His Father. Fresh water getting dirty to clean and refresh an object shows what benevolence, kindness, mercy and love are all about. Since God, The Maker and Creator of all things, made His creation without consulting with anyone and since He made all things to declare Himself unto us, because He couldn’t find something better than Himself to proclaim, then we His creatures should do as Christ and should exist only to promote Him.

Any one, like Simon “the magician”, who wants to promote himself or anything found in creation rather than what is best for all which is The Creator , has corrupted his way, and has become one more drop of acid in the corrosive lake of Satan. Lucifer’s mindset exists solely for the purpose of desecrating our Maker .

Since God made us for Himself and He has never declared otherwise, God considers everything you say and do to be a representation of who He is. Therefore when you promote yourself or anything found in creation you turn God into a caricature and for that you’ll have to answer to your Maker.

Christ command of dying to self if we are going to follow the mindset of God is the most wholesome medicine any wayward soul can assimilate, advocate and propagate.
