“The
fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” ascertains the Bible. And by
Lord, of course, is referring to words. For words are the one and only true
God of the soul. By words we receive an identity, we are introduce to what
surrounds us, we are made aware of what things are and how they function.
Someone, therefore, that can tell you who you are, what you are, what you
have, what to do with what you have, how to do it, and when to do it, is, to
say the least, your supreme Master and Lord.
The
greatest treasure that can be formed and found within a rock is gold,
diamonds or precious stones and the greatest treasure that can be formed and
found within a soul is concepts, precepts, observations and revelations.
That
which is formed from within and expands to show the splendor of its content
is what is defined as treasure by the Bible. (Mat. 12:34-36). The Bible
indicates that both the evil man and the good man are wealthy. Wealth is an
abundance of whatsoever is it that you or a part of you loves. The eye loves
to see, the ear loves to hear, the heart loves to feel, the mind loves to
think, the will loves to choose. The wealth of your heart is therefore the
abundance of emotions that it experiences.
The wealth of the mind is the abundance of thoughts that it employs.
What
the bible, therefore, refers to as treasure for the wicked are the words the
wicked pays attention to that allows his heart to constantly hunger and long
for the care of creation and the abundance of thoughts that his mind employs
for the purpose of procuring such care. Likewise the treasure of the good man
is the abundance of words that he pays attention to that allows him to feel
merciful kindness towards all creation and fills his mind with thoughts of
benevolence that enables him to show God’s love.
God
made us for Himself which means that we were made to witness how His Word in us brings God’s care to all
creation. Let us therefore rejoice with our Maker as He takes pleasure in
seeing His Son (The Word of God) in us, do all that is necessary to reveal
His Father to us. Let’s wholeheartedly agree that Jesus Christ is God’s
beloved Son in Whom God the Father is always well pleased.
