TAKE COURAGE IN THE LORD, MY WIFE, MY CHILDREN AND MY FRIENDS. FOR

IT IS WRITTEN IN JOSHUA 1:9 “HAVE NOT I COMMANDED THEE? BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE; BE NOT AFRAID, NEITHER BE THOU DISMAYED: FOR THE LORD THY GOD IS WITH THEE WHITHERSOEVER THOU GOEST.”

Does He command for us to be strong and of good courage because our environment is a calm, prosperous or comfortable one, or because our bodies are healthy and unimpaired, and free of any onslaught? Does He give this commandment because we are free of burdens, duties and distresses or does He give this commandment because He has promised never to leave us and never to forsake us and therefore to be always with us whithersoever we get to go. I believe that we live for Him and because of Him and that my friends is the only thing that matters. For the prime directive for our existence is to “be with Him” and as long as we are with Him we are living successfully.

The circumstances surrounding our physical bodies may or may not be the most appealing and attractive ones, nonetheless we can raise our heads to heaven and praise our Maker who cannot be stopped, hindered, removed or destroyed by circumstances, demons, viruses or anything else that can easily assail and do away with mortals. We served an immortal, unchangeable God who happens to be the sustain of all things. And He himself has declared to be to us: Light, Life, Love, Our Shelter( our dwelling place throughout all generations), our Mighty Fortress, our shield and buckler, Our lawyer, our defender. Who can indeed be against us if God is with us(our Emmanuel). When things look bleak, and dark, when you feel that your physical life is about to end, Rejoice! For you are about to enter into the Light who has no shadow of turning. Bring on the smile of anticipation! for your year of jubilee has come and you are about to begin an eternity of never ending joy totally submerged in His presence.

The earthly signs of impending doom that threatens, saddens and exasperates the ungodly are signals of great joy to the believer. For he/she is already sitting in heavenly places with Christ Jesus and can’t wait to put off mortality that he/she may be forever dressed in immortality.

We don’t even have to worry about when or how we will die or what ailment or illness will befall us. We were not made for the good outcome or the bad outcome of things. We were made to be with Him and as long as we are with Him who is our life and our shelter nothing has happen to us. The real me lies in the mind of my creator who fashioned me and fearfully made me. This tabernacle that I wear which I called my body of flesh is supposed to be His temple so what business it is of me to worry about the temple of the Lord as if there is no temple Keeper. I will rejoice in the Lord alway and again I will rejoice, and gladly say with Paul: “I Die Daily”. Thank You Lord for your Word, for your truth and your mercy endureth forever. Amen.
