For most people "the world" is this great physical terrestrial ball, therefore the notion of the world being turned upside down is consider to be an impossibility. But the world, according to the scriptures, is the concepts, reasons, statues, principles and ideas that govern the hearts and minds of men. And turning the world upside down is precisely what the entrance of God's Word enables you to do. God indicates that His thoughts and concerns are higher than ours. When we stop looking at everything from the limited scope of our puny understanding and we look at it from the keen, vast, unphatomable, caring, merciful and loving vision of our Creator, the world that governs our thoughts and emotions doesn't just turn upside down but also gets to be turn inside out. |

In the book of Acts the disciples of Christ were constantly accussed of turning the world upside down. The Christians of the 1st century disrupted the great industrial economy of idol making. Casted out devils from demonized psychic slaves causing their masters to lose their source of income. The change took place in the hearts and minds of those that heard and received the Word. Their old set of values - the things considered by their society to be of utmost importance - became completely insignificant. Losing became more important than winning, existing to die for the faith superseded the desire of the pharisees and of our modern Christian Leadership of making a living off of their faith.
