WE BECOME WHAT WE LOVE

Mark 7:6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

If we say we love the Lord - The Word - who rejoices and delights in renewing, restoring, maintaining, refreshing, humbly servicing i.e. holding every atom of creation in it’s place without being noticed or recognized, and basically constantly providing/promoting the upkeep of His Creation. How come we don’t rejoice and delight when we are employed to do similar tasks. If we love Him we should be doing all those tasks whenever we can without monetary motivation but simple to show our soul’s infatuation. How come we don’t jump up and down when we find the opportunity to do any of these tasks which give our souls a chance to brag about the Lord - The Word - whom we say we love and whom are lips constantly praise, by showing with our bodies what our Lord always does joyfully.

Satan rejoices and delights in appropriating what’s done by someone else, in this case God, Satan also delights in calling himself the owner of what’s made and maintain by somebody else’s hands. Satan rejoices and delights in taking the position of power, the prestige, the status, the titles of royalty and greatness that belongs to another to promote himself by using, consuming and wasting all the goods he gathers and collects from some one else(that someone else being God, of course). How come we love to buy what others have done and then proceed to call ourselves owners of the things other hands get to make and are able to maintain. How come we love to fight and compete for the position of power, the prestige, the status, the recognition of greatness and honor others have by any “legal” means necessary so that as we prosper we can have all the wealth that enables us to use, consume, collect, gather and waste any goods our hearts so desire.

With our lips we say we love the Lord(i.e. The Word) yet in our hearts and minds we love and delight in what Satan does.

Thank God the Lord knows who are really His for He Himself has set aside those whose hearts and minds will not bow down to Satan. There is a remnant even in this hour of great darkness and confusion who have His Spirit and are able to see Him for their hearts and minds have been cleansed and made pure to behold their Maker and to sense His concerns.

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments not in your mouths and lips but in your hearts and minds.
