The Four Masters Of The Will

And the 4^th master of the will is simply called "The Best". Since God made us for Himself. He made our wills predisposed or bound to follow "The Best". When we Know God who is "The Best" we can forsake(i.e. abandon our dependence on) honors, riches, families, friends, health and everything else this world holds dear because we are happy to possesses in our souls the One who is the real owner of all things, we are therefore overwhelmingly delighted to be nothing more than mere stewards of the manifold wisdom of God.

When we, like Adam however, are deceived into thinking God doesn't have his best interest at heart for us when we assume He wants to deprive us of good things such as family, friends, fun and so on, then we have accepted the reasoning of Satan, and our will is only bound to follow whatever it considers to be "The Best" in this world. Whether it be the best car, the best girl, the best job, the best spouse, the best schools, the best clothes, the best of whatever. The fact is the will is bound to follow "The Best". The only freedom the will may seem to have is that of not following "The Worst". But this is relative to the knowledge under which our hearts and minds operate. So we can easily be following what is “The Worst” thinking all along we are following “The Best”. In conclusion the will has 4 Masters exercising control over it.

God's Will on the other hand is free from looking to follow "The Best". There is nothing better than Him. God's will therefore is bound to choose for what's less or what’s worst, which is us, to bring us back into the BEST GOODNESS which is Himself.
